Editing your plan #
You can edit your ADU plans at any time. In your portfolio (designer.aduaccelerator.org/designer/portfolio), click the “Edit” button in the upper right corner of any plan. PLEASE NOTE: Editing a plan requires deactivating it until edits are complete.
Click “Make inactive” on the resulting popup:
Your plan is now deactivated. You can make edits and click “Next Step” on any page to save those edits.
Editing specific fields #
Almost all listing fields are fully editable. Construction type (site-built or prefabricated) cannot be edited – if you need to, you can delete the existing listing and start fresh with a new one.
Adding a pre-approval location to an existing site-built plan #
If one of your site-built plans has a new pre-approval location, you can add a new pre-approved location (see Adding and Activating new Plan Listings: Step 2 for more details):
- Edit the plan
- Add the new location in Section 2: Pre-Approval
- Click Activate
- If the jurisdiction has a gallery, they will be notified they have a new pre-approved plan to confirm. When they confirm, it will appear in their Plans Gallery as a pre-approved plan.
Reactivating a plan #
Click “Activate” in the top right to reactivate your plan (or proceed to the final step of the plan editor and click “Activate” there). You will need to click “Activate” in the banner that appears at the top of the screen.
Your dashboard always shows whether a plan is active or inactive:
IMPORTANT: When a plan is deactivated, it is considered a “draft” and won’t be visible in any Plans Galleries it is listed in. Reactivating the plan will return it to all galleries where it was before. If the plan has been pre-approved by a location, reactivating it will not trigger a need for re-confirmation by the jurisdiction. Please do not leave pre-approved plans deactivated for extended periods of time unless there is a problem with the listing.
View your listing edits #
To view your plan listing as it will look to the public, click on the listing name from your dashboard. When viewed from a local gallery, plan listings will show additional information about approvals and designer availability depending on the location.
NOTE: You can preview your plan listing whether it’s activated or a draft.
