Adding another jurisdiction’s pre-approved plan

According to California State Law AB1332, jurisdictions can decide to accept another jurisdiction’s pre-approved plan as pre-approved in their location without doing their own review.

There are two ways to find another jurisdiction’s pre-approved plans:

  • If they have a gallery, see all their pre-approved plans there. Start on the Statewide gallery search page to find jurisdictions with galleries.
  • Every individual plan listing page (where you see plan images, floorplan, cost details and more) includes a list of pre-approved locations that have galleries.

If you want to add one of these plans as pre-approved in your own location, you have a couple of options

  • It is best practice to confirm with the designer that it’s okay to add their listing to your pre-approved plans list. If you contact them, you can ask them to add your location to their listing, which you would then confirm (see Confirming or declining pre-approved status).
  • You can also contact us at support@aduaccelerator.org and ask us to add that listing as pre-approved in your location.
